Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, aka Ari Lennox, was born in Washington, D.C. on the 26th of March on the 26th of March, 1991. She is an American singer-songwriter and the first artist signed by J. Cole to his record label Dreamville Records. Her first EP, Pho which was released on 21 October 2016 was released through Dreamville Records. Her career began to grow in fame. Shea Butter Baby her debut album was released on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox has been uploading her music since 2012 with her debut mixtape "Five Finger Discount" and her EP Ariography. In 2014, she continued to share her music over the internet including her independently released single Bound. On July 21 2015 she appeared on Omen's album Elephant Eyes with the track Sweat It Out. J. Cole was interested by her talent and was looking to collaborate with Rihanna. On December 8 it was revealed that she had contracted to Dreamville Records.
